Caring for your leather sneakers

Dirt Removal
Brush your sneakers with a natural soft bristle brush to remove excess dirt. It is important to remove as much dirt as possible so that it does not becoming trapped in the nap during the next stages. Don’t over brush the same spot in otherwise you might damage the nap surface. For stubborn stains or marks use a Suede + Nubuck Rubber and apply enough rubbing pressure to remove the marks being careful not to over rub.

DO NOT immerse the shoe in water, gently wipe it with a cloth or sneaker cleaner wipe (no washing in water) leather is a natural fibre.

Upper Cleaning
For light dirt use a reputable foam sneaker cleaning product. Shake and apply all over the shoe. Work the foam it into the material with a natural bristle brush and let it soak for 4-5 minutes. Once the foam has absorbed the dirt, brush it off with a clean brush rinsing it frequently while brushing off the foam. Wipe clean and allow to dry.

Outsole Cleaning
Use any reputable foam sneaker cleaning product. Apply with a Technical Cleaning Cloth or a natural bristle brush to access harder to reach areas of the outsole. Wipe clean and allow to dry.

Refinish
Use a nubuck renovateur spray to restore and condition your sneakers. Cover an outside area with newspaper and also stuff your shoes with newspaper to protect the lining from being stained. Spray the Renovateur evenly at a distance of 25cm from the surface of the sneakers and leave to dry for 15 minutes. Brush with a crepe brush to obtain a perfect finish.

Protect
As a final step we recommend applying a stain and water repellent treatment on your sneakers to prolong the life and maintain its appearance. Use a reputable nubuck protector spray to provide a protective barrier. Its neutral colour is suitable for all colours. Use once a month and apply in a well ventilated area, preferably outside, from a distance of 12"-18" and allow 30 minutes to dry.
